All other areas / host-resident type	Up to 180 days a year

Notice to neighbors before starting

• Before filing the notification, inform neighbors in writing of the business plan and where to make complaints (as a guide, about 20 m from the site boundary, and childcare and school facilities within about 100 m, etc.). Keep records for 3 years

Where to file and consult

Suginami Public Health Center, Environmental Sanitation Division (杉並保健所 生活衛生課); for garbage, advance consultation with the sanitation office (清掃事務所) is also required. Procedures and required documents can change, so check the latest guidance from the office. A fire safety compliance certificate (消防法令適合通知書) from the fire station is also required.

• For apartment buildings, also display the sign at the entrance. If the property faces a school route, also display it where it can be seen from the school route
